First of all, we don't declaw cats that go outside.  Only the cats that
are *home* bodies.  The indoor-outdoor cats have a full range of 18 little
needle like claws (I think).  The indoor cats have been made furniture 
friendly (as well as fixed to keep reproduction from occuring).
