I also have a few sermons on the web that are copyrighted. In the
copyright notice, I expressly give permission for UPC ministers to
make copies, provided that the copyright notice is preserved in those
copies.
My resume is copyrighted. This is for my protection. It keeps others
from stealing it and submitting me to jobs I have not agreed to be
submitted to, and it keeps brokers from editing my resume and
submitting an edited copy that is not my original words. I do permit
this editing, but I must approve the edited version before it may be
submitted.
Copyright can serve a number of purposes beside just prevention of
copying. If you look at the Gnu Public License, it uses copyright to
*ENCOURAGE* copying, but only if certain conditions are met.
