A long-time friend of H-F posted the following, but he won't get
the rejection message from the Listprocessor at prairienet until
delivery is attempted .... so, on his behalf ... this is what Mark
Basset tried to post (as posted by a moderator):

My goodness! I would not want to degrade Colleen by allowing
comparison of my little efforts with her excellent presentations and
highly developed talents! Please brethren! Give credit where it is
due, and help me to find some help in the area of my own shortcomings.
I think Colleen is great! And, we do need people to help one another
and share the ppol of talen which the Lord has set in the church. to
that end, I think your newsletter is a great idea, if I understood it
right.
We are all learning.
God Bless, and please... keep me informed.
For the record, I like the tension on the mail lists .. but then
again, thats what you would expect from a pot-stirrer :-)
Someone asked me the other day if I listened to Dr Lausa on
talk-radio. I said I had. He said that he was pretty impressed with
her because she said whatever came to mind. I told him that he must
be a latent preacher looking for encouragement. I also pointed out
that most people who have something to say have to work on tuning the
delivery, while others can be assumed to be "wonderful" in their
silence. The Bible teaches it anyway, and some of us are esteemed to
be wise! Isnt God good?
However, I also asked if he had noticed that most people who call Dr.
Laura seem to want to be told off ? They all seem to pretty quickly
say, "yes ? Im wrong! Im sorry.. You are right".. no matter what she
says. The callers can be masochists. I guess we have to condition our
presentation, lest we only appeal to masochists. On the other hand,
lively and inquisitive people need some interaction and "dynamic
tension", like the old Charles Atlas body building courses prescribed.
Probably this guy was a preacher learning that one who has what it
takes, now has to turn it over to Jesus, and become something else,
before "what it takes" can become "what He uses". :-)
Thanks for the ramble time.. Love ya'll!
