You:
> The job of the prophets, however, was the opposite. It was their job to

> analogous to that of the Old Testament prophets.

Me:
Actually, prophets are sent to the people of God. They didn't deal MUCH
with the heathen and in MOST cases, then only as it effected the children
of God.

You:
> God said he would pour out his spirit upon ALL FLESH and "your sons and
your daughters shall prophesy". This was the outpouring of the Holy Ghost,
> which any repentant believer is to receive. After we recieve the Holy
> Ghost, Jesus said He would lead us into all truth. Jesus living inside
of
> us, shall teach [us] all things, according to Jesus's teaching in John
14.
> He said "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."

Me:
I just can't bring myself to erase this. ;-)

Think of the Irsaelites before the Holy mount. God said THEN that His
people would be kings and priest: ALL OF THEM! I keep saying this over and
over but here goes again: God is going to call this class of 'rulers' into
account and demand of them just what it is that they have been doing to HIS
sheep!

Me? I was a servant yesterday and by the grace of God through Jesus
Christ, I will be a servant tomorrow; papers or no papers. While being
'bravely busy' one day the Lord pulled me up SHORT and asked what I was
doing. I said "I'm helping so-and-so and then I'm ganna do this and
then... You know all this." and then He was quiet for several days. I
came to slowly realize as the days DRAGGED on, that I had begun to serve
the PEOPLE and had ceased to serve ***GOD*** through the people. <I don't
know why I threw that in there but...>

Matthew 23:11
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

In this regard *I* strive for ever increasing 'greatness'. ;-)

As for trinitarians recieving the gift of the revelation of God's Oneness:

2 Samuel 7:21
For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all
these great things, to make thy servant know them.

The Spiritual Gifts are recieved from the Spirit: DUH. The gifts of the
Spirit are for the perfecting or completion of the saints. We ALL recieved
the best part of this gift when God entered into us and spoke through us.
That is when WE all began this 'completion' process. How many on this list
NEED a sign from God that He exists? <I thought so...> IF the gifts
aren't for signs, then what ARE they for? Will the unbelivers then believe
just because they see the signs that there is a supernatural? Ask
yourseves this: Were MORE people saved or condemned by their reactions to
God's miracles in Christ Jesus? <Start with the Pharisees and work on
through those who left when they found that there was to be no more
bread...>

Well, I gotta run. ;-)
