Where did all this "Holy Priesthood==unbroken chain via laying on of hands"
come from?

The only religion I know of that makes a huge deal out of this is the
Mormon church (who, BTW only believes white males can be a part of it,
sorry Peter and Paul).

The only religion I know of that makes a huge deal out of transferring the
Holy Ghost, Spiritual Gifts, etc. through laying on of hands exclusively is
Roman Catholicism. My Mom got the Holy Ghost by herself in her bedroom (no
laying on of hands there). So did Cornelius and his household in Acts 10.
(Absolutely no mention of laying on of hands. It was the middle of Peter's
sermon.)

In fact, this whole discussion is starting to sound like an argument
pro/con "Apostolic Succession" ideology (Roman Catholic).

The term "holy priesthood" (not capitalized) is only found once in the New
Testament, I Peter 2:5.

I Peter 2:5
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus
Christ.

The term "royal priesthood" occurs later on in I Peter 2:9

I Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a
peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath
called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Nowhere with regard to "holy" or "royal" priesthood is mentioned "laying on
of hands" or "unbroken lineage". It is simply a state of being brought
upon only by the fact that one is saved.
