He still answers prayer!

Friday, Feb. 23, 6:30 am, my wife, who’s eight months pregnant, woke me up.
She was bleeding profusely. This is our first child and she and I are very
excited (and scared!). I was shocked at the amount of blood that was coming
forth. Needless to say, she was hysterical. Surly something terrible had
gone wrong, I thought.

After calling her doctor, my wife proceeded to call our pastor. Between
great sobs she managed to explain to him what was going on. By this time I
was dressed and ready to rush her to the hospital. Unknow to us, our pastor
immediately called some other precious saints in our church and told them to
PRAY.

This particular hospital is about a 30 minute drive for us. Halfway to the
hospital my wife had a great peace descend upon her. Everything is going to
be all right, she said. Of course, I continued my breakneck trek to the
hospital.

Upon arriving at the hospital we proceeded to go through the routine of
explaining to the nurse our dilemma. At once, she checked my wife into a
room for examination. Doctor #1 comes in and does an examination.
Everything is normal. He does an ultrasound. Everything is OK. He pokes
and squeezes. Nothing out of place.

Several hours later, doctor #2 gives her a more detailed ultrasound.
Everything still in place and OK. He searches still more. All is normal.
By now I’m convinced God has touched the situation. So I asked the question
that has been plaguing me for months. Is it a boy or girl?? After more
searching we discovered, to our delight, IT’S A BOY! Virtual cigars for
everyone!

I thank God tonight for His quick answer to prayer. I’m thankful for a group
of saints who would climb out of bed and pray for an emergency situation. I
thank God for a godly pastor who is the definition of compassion. I thank
God for a church that still believes fervent prayer moves the hand of God.
 To God be the glory!!
