Brother Brandon:
Your last comment about "as we pray God will reveal..."
Unfortunately, I don't think that any will hear. I think they are so
caught up in their doctrine that they cannot be penetrated. That is
where they are becoming a "cult." They are not willing to listen to
any one else or even to truly search the scriptures by doing
exhaustive research to rightly divide the Word of God.
As you say, telling people that they cannot visit a church because
they have gym. Come on. Doesn't that sound strange. My God. I
have always felt from reading the posts on this list that you all
must be a bunch of really weak folks that you need so many rules and
regulations to be saved.
God talks to us, he deals with us. It is a constant thing. Yet, he
does not impose the restrictions on my life that some of you would.
Self righteous is the word to describe many oneness folks these days.
It's either their way or no way. That's wrong. When did God die,
and put the UPC in charge? He did not.
Jesus said he came to set us free, and organizations like the UPC
came to bind people up again.
To me, if a man is so weak in his flesh that he cannot go to the
beach for fear he will lust, he needs to get another dip of the holy
ghost. And if a sister has to be condemned to hell for earrings,
something is wrong there too.
The interesting thing I have found is that as I have abandoned some
of this "what I call stupidity", I feel much closer to God and even
more willing to get closer to him. Because man and his "mess" was
getting in the way of me and my God. God is a liberator, man is an
oppressor.
I think many could benefit from some college level courses or some
study in the greek and hebrew. I know I intend to learn it. I only
repent for the times that I condemned someone because they had on
pants. What do pants have to do with that person's heart? Nothing.
Nothing at all. God forgive my ignorance.
