I like to look at Job in times like those, and I have indeed been
there (still am somewhat, but I feel like its slowly getting better).
I have a house in Kentucky that is not even rented at all. I have
been in Chicago for a year. Until this year, we had had no health
insurance for 10 years (self employed). In 1992 my had to undergo
surgery -- still paying for that. Also in 1992, coming home from
preaching a 3 day revival, rolled the car. Labor day a year and a
half ago my wife's car was nearly destroyed by a hit and run drunk.
Court ordered restitiution. We go the car back last week. Been out
of work several times during all his, 8 months in 1994. No
unemployment (self employed).
But look at Job! He lost everything except God, and God permitted
this to happen. Why? For a testimont to God! He restored to Job
more than he had before, and this time *EVERYONE KNEW IT HAD TO BE
FROM GOD* because Job had nothing to get anything with. So praise God
through it all and wait with eager anticipation for the next chapter
in your life.
