My father's father was a Southern Baptist minister, and we never went
fishing or hunting on Sunday, but it was OK to mow the lawn. Today,
the UPC, at least, holds that the sabbath is not a New Testament
observence. This is apparently based upon Jesus' lack of observance
of the sabbath. Does anyone have anything more solid that that for
the UPC's position regarding the sabbath?
