Praise the LORD! His mercy endures forever!

I've been writing a device driver for the past TWO MONTHS (which, in
the world of commercial software development, is nearly forever), and
have been needing some serious divine inspiration, which I asked for
prayer for and received! I'm finally getting this bugger working
HALLELUJAH!

Now for my prayer requests:

1) continued inspiration for a continuing problem. I couldn't figure
out how to get the O.S. to pass along interrupt requests from the
adapter I'm programming to my driver -- I would just HANG the machine
whenever I enabled interrupts. So, I check adapter status by polling
the dumb thing 200 times per second instead (thank the Lord and the
hardware designer for large FIFO's so I can get away with this cheesy
trick), so I could get on with driver development.

Anyway, polling the hardware is considered Not Good from a performance
standpoint. So please pray that I can figure out this little
bugaboo. I have until this Friday (the 16th) to have a completed
product ;-/

2) Pray for my 6-month old son Ian, who's been hanging onto a cold
*forever*. The little champ is generally in a good mood in spite of
his coughing and earaches and fever. He's on antibiotics now (to
fight the bronchitis and ear infection). Oh yeah, the doctor thinks
he might have asthma too -- a nice inheritance from dear ol' dad.

Thanks for thinking of me and Ian!
