That was a great message! We had a wonderful one Sun. morning. Bro.
Becton preached at our church yesterday. This was his main text.
Ps 137:1-4
1By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we
remembered Zion.
2We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
3For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and
they that wasted us
required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
4How shall we sing the LORD's song in a strange land?
He talked about an article that said that the songbird has not been singing
and is dying off because their song is developed in the deep woods where
there is no danger of predators. Since man has cut down so many forests,
the birds have to build their nests too close to the edge of the woods
where there are rodents who kill them. He said some of us have built our
spiritual houses too close to the world and we have lost our song. He also
talked about how trials and fighting the devil can steal our song. The joy
of the Lord is our strength! We had such a refreshing move of the Lord.
Then that night he wasn't even able to preach because the Spirit of the
Lord moved in such a powerful way when the pastor called for the sick to
get prayed for. The Lord is doing great and marvelous things!

>"Be You're Beary Best Every Day"
Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O
mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon
his afflicted.
But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion
on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are
continually before me. (Isaiah 49:13-16)
