Praise The Lord Saints!

When I was going to youth camp, probally when I was twelve, there was some
black kids from houston texas that got up to sing, and this young black boy,
grabbed the microphone and said,"Praise the Lord saints!", and as you would
expect a typical youth camp response it was meager, then he said somthing I
shall never forget as long as I live, He said, "Is you saints, or is you
aints? All the saints praise the lord.!" And he commenced to preach,
probally the youngest person I have ever heard preach.

So who out there is Saints? Well Praise him!

We had a preacher that preached this past wendsday, and I have beeen chewing
on his sermon all week, and I thought I would share it with all you good
folks.

(Exo 35:1-13) And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of
Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath
commanded, that ye should do them. {2} Six days shall work be done, but on
the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the
LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. {3} Ye shall kindle
no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day. {4} And Moses spake
unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the
thing which the LORD commanded, saying, {5} Take ye from among you an
offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an
offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass, {6} And blue, and purple,
and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, {7} And rams' skins dyed red,
and badgers' skins, and shittim wood, {8} And oil for the light, and spices
for anointing oil, and for the sweet incense, {9} And onyx stones, and stones
to be set for the ephod, and for the breastplate. {10} And every wise hearted
among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded; {11} The
tabernacle, his tent, and his covering, his taches, and his boards, his bars,
his pillars, and his sockets, {12} The ark, and the staves thereof, with the
mercy seat, and the veil of the covering, {13} The table, and his staves, and
all his vessels, and the showbread,

and it goes on and on......

The Title of His sermon was

God doesnt need you!

Moses had taken the Children of Isreal out of Egypt, and Moses had went and
been in that mountain for a long time. He came down and his face shone, and
everyone knew he had something profound to say. And as they all listened for
what it was, Moses basically told them that God had said,"Its time to take up
an Offering." (Sound Familar?)

I am sure they were not to thrilled with this.

Why did God do this? He did'nt need thier silver and Gold. He did'nt need
thier wood or skins. God did'nt need it, he could have spoke it in to place.
But he gave them the Opportunity.

David.

Why did'nt God just strike Goliath Dead for defying him and his people?

God wanted to give someone the opportunity to be used.
It says that david hurried, why? He wanted to hurry up and see what God was
going to do. He knew that God was going to do somthing and he wanted to be
the one that God used.

God doesnt need us, but he chooses to use us.

He could do a better of reaching the world, but he chose us. Inspite of
human error, fraility, tempermentalality, pride, ect ect.

He puts up with all this, so that he can use a willing vessel..

God doesnt need us, but thank God he gives us the opportunity!

THere is no telling what God will do for us, the People of God if we stand up
and realize, "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole
earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect
toward him."

God wants to use us, if we will Sieze the Opportunity!

Well this is a scaled down version, of coarse it would have been better if
you could have heard it, but I thought it might encourage someone.

God Bless US All with Wisdom that is From above.
