This is something I struggle with because I have young children. We don't
have a TV or vcr but my mother does (she isn't in church) and lets the
children watch G-rated movies occassionally whenever we go over there. I
kinda like "Cinderella" - just can't help it. I mainly like looking at the
antique furniture (my weakness). Ha! Ha! Anyway, everytime I sit there I
see the yucky undertones -the fairy godmother is really a cute pudgey
witch! My tendency is to not watch them at all, but my husband doesn't
feel conviction about G-rated movies. The last time we saw Fantasia,
though, I said never again. I'm sorry, but I can't just sit there and
watch evolution themes.
Beauty dances with a man so possessed that he has taken animal-like qualities.
The little mermaid is rewarded for her rebellion against her father and
wasn't Dagon half-fish, half-man?
The Lion King has downright disgusting humor and witchcraft.
In fact, I think every Disney film has witchcraft!
Oh well, our Pastor has requested that all those who have monitors and VCRs
to move them out of their houses, so I don't think we'll be watching videos
at mom's any time soon!

Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O
mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon
his afflicted.
But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion
on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are
continually before me. (Isaiah 49:13-16)
