Why just R-rated? That stuff is *OBVIOUSLY* wrong! How about the
G-rated film you are supposed to take your kids to that has definate
overtones of the occult, and portrays it as the right thing for the
*GOOD* guy to do? I distinctly remember a thread on this list last
year about Disney's "The Lion King" (notice I did *NOT* say *WALT*
Disney, since Walt is gone now, and it is operated as a big
corporation with no definate personality at the helm anymore. Not to
say that Walt was such a good guy... Folklore has it that he used
opium, and Fantasia had a *BIG* revival in the 60s heyday of LSD, et
al. The subversive influence ws there even then, it just was better
concealed. I guess the R-rated films are just the logical conclusion
of all this. One rhetorical question: if all that yuck was on an
R-rated film, what's left to cause a film to be X-rated nowdys? (I
haven't been to a theatre or owned a TV since I got the Holy Ghost in
1978, so I really am ignorant of this stuff as it pertains to today.)
