He made that remark in private email, which I echoed to this list. He
did not post that to the list; I did, but it was still his remark. It
does not belong here, and I appologize for putting it here. Jan did
not put that remark on this list. Please do not assume that he did.
I posted this exchange between Jan and myself when I inferred from his
remarks that eli.wariat.org was about to experience a heavy email
load. Since this is the machine that hosts the higher-fire archives,
I expected that during the threatened assult the lag might get rather
bad, so I wanted the other list members to understand what was
happening. So far, I have experienced no such attack, and I hope I do
not experience one. In fact, I hope this whole thing settles down
back to normal.

Prairienet is not running Majordomo, it is running listserv. My
machine had a Majordomo list server on it.
