This may be true in some instances but the subject in general is widely
debated. Paulos quotes from Menander, a secular Greek writer popular in his
time, when he says, "We are all his children" and "Bad company corrupts good
morals". A story in popular circulation during the time (by Menander) was
about a woman who shaved off her hair, obviously a huge scandal. (Life was
boring back then I guess).

"...every woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled brings shame
to her head, there is no difference between her and a woman who has her head
shaved. For if a woman is not veiled, let her also have her hair cut short;
but if it is a shame for a woman to wear her hair cut short (or have her
head shaved) then let her be veiled" 1 Co 11:5-6.
It does also say, "But a woman who wears her hair long enhances her
appearance, because her hair is given to her for a covering" (v15). And,
"...a man who wears his hair long degrades himself." (v14).
However, this is about long and short, not cut and uncut. If you grew your
hair 2 feet long Rachel, and had it trimmed at the ends, would your hair be
masculine? Then would a man who trimmed his two foot long hair be "feminine"
because his hair was "cut"? Obviously not! it's just a matter of common
sense as to what is appropriate for the gender as respects length. But
please, remember, I offer my peace to you and my thoughts, but God in heaven
is the only ruling authority. Do as he tells your heart and be fully
convinced in your mind, nothing wavering.
Just give others room to do the same for God! :-) this is the part we seem
to enjoy forgetting...

You may be right, but consider the possibility that longer hair on the woman
is the natural example that should be covered by an additional cloth veil.
Remember, our mother Cha'vah was CURSED to be under the authority of Adam.
Not blessed.
Grace and Peace to you in Iesous your powerful master and shepherd of your
entire life and identity--
