Yes, that is correct! Very astute of you! See what I get for shooting from
the hip! How embarrassing! 

Petros (Kefa) said something along these lines:

"Here is the message that he sent to sons of Israel announcing Shalom
through Yeshua the Messiah, who is the powerful master of everything. You
know what has been going on throughout Y'huda, starting from the Galil after
the immersion that Yochanan proclaimed; how God anointed Yeshua from
Natzaret with the Ru'ach HaKodesh [Pure Breath of Life] and with power; how
he went about doing good and healing all the people oppressed by the
Adversary, because God was with him.

"As for us, we are witnesses of everything he did, both in the Y'hudean
countryside and in Yerushalayim. They did away with him by hanging him on a
stake, but God raised him up the third day and let him be seen....

In conclusion to this preaching by Sh'imon Petros, "Kefa was still saying
these things when the Ru'ach HaKodesh/Paracletos fell on all who were
hearing the message. ALL THE BELIEVERS FROM THE CIRCUMCISION FACTION WHO HAD
ACCOMPANIED KEFA WERE AMAZED THAT GIFT OF THE PURE BREATH OF LIFE WAS ALSO
BEING POURED OUT ON THE GOYIM, for they heard them speaking in tongues and
praising God."

Acts 10:39-41b,44-46. Notice the talmidim of Petros were shocked that
gentiles were being saved. A totally Jewish apostle was their teacher!!!!

Tongues was the *PROOF* of genuine salvation from Yah Veh and his Son, Yeshua.
