And so is a Church! I believe that Mike is missing the point! We are not
all hung up on the dress and the hair doctines of the scriptures. They are
just the result of a heart felt response to God's Holy Word. The Bible is
full of scriptures on love, grace, lovingkindness, honesty, righeousness of
the heart etc. but these do not in any way shape or form detract from the
need for us to have outward holiness (separation from sin separation to God).
The Lord enlightened me about Hebrews 12:14. Follow peace with all men, and
holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: No man shall see the
Lord in us unless we follow peace and holiness, inward and outward. A woman
that refuses to follow the biblical admonition to have long hair (ie uncut,
1Cor.11:4-5) is not truely witnessing holiness(separation) unto the Lord.
She might be witnessing her own desires, mabe even her own ideal and
standard but not the Lords. No man shall see the Lord is not speaking about
going to heaven, but about our witness. Verses 12-13 of Hebrews 12 admonish
us to make striaght paths for our feet so that which is lame may be healed.
People need to see our witness inward and outward!!!!
