Recording an ordinary phonecall?

Hi, and merry Christmas...

Is it possible to record a phonecall with vgetty without answering the line
with the modem? I e the computer just listens to if a phone connected after
the modem is lifted, and if so, it begins to record until the call is over.

It only needs to record incoming phonecalls and it doesnt need to play
anything to the line.
 
Like this:
Someone calls, someone answers the phone. The computer records the call and
gives the file a name like "time_length". The call ends, and so does the
computer.

Is it possible, and has anybody done it?
