I want to use mgetty/vgetty with my ZyXEL U-1496E & distinctive ring.  I have 
set the S40 bits to enable the distinctive ring types, but my modem echoes 
"RING" (not RINGx) no matter what distinctive ring number is called.  The 
modem manual mentions nothing other than the S40 bits...is there something 
else that I'm missing?  Or, is the distinctive ring on this modem only good if 
the modem does the answering itself?  (e.g.ats0=1).
