version 1.1.18 don't pick up a fax call

I don't think so.  Flow control really only comes into play for playback
via the modem.

Interesting.  Can you show me a log file of "vm play <someverylongfile.rmd>"?

What does "ATI11" say on this modem, and what does it return after "AT\Q3"?
