You are aware that many manufactures call 2400 9600? There were a whole
pile of modems that came out that were 2400 with fax9600 meaning that
the fax connects at 2400 but by use of compresion get an information
flow of about 9600. When I hear fax 9600, I assume 2400 connect. To be
perfectly honest the only time I have ever gotten any fax connect higher
than 2400 has been with another modem at 14400, never with a fax
machine.
