G3 conversion

It does not resize the fax at all.  The original dimensions (1734 x
approx 2000) are left unchanged.

I find that extremely unlikely.  The binary does not contain the
string "gif".

  strings -n3 /usr/local/bin/fax2tiff | grep gif
