usr sporster pro not always properly detected

To follow up on my original post. I notice that I had not in fact properly
upgraded to mgetty w/ Marc's miost recent patch. I decided to try that out
and immediately vgetty started automatically detecting the modem.

I am not exactly sure that the modem is the problem.

Thanks for writing some great software. Off to try out mvm or maybe roll
my own voicemail.
