I am a bit too new to to Linux/ppp to gleen what may be simple answers
to my dilemma from other posts here. Sorry. I have been able to dial-
in the linux box from W95, to the point where I receive a 'verifying
user name..' but then exits and hangs up with a 'unable to establish
connection' screen. I have placed my mgetty+sendfax.config and related
files, as well as the /var/log/mgetty.33600.log entries online for
interested and helpful souls to examine. It is at
www.299e.net/ppp.html. I will be EXCEEDINGLY grateful
for any advice to get this up and running, I am almost out of time
before the data connection is made and I am obligated to provide dialup
service. Please e-mail me if any further information is needed. I
could even telephone you directly to have you walk me through the
setup, let's discuss payment options (hey, I live in an area of CA
where there are two other Linux pros in 15,000 square miles, and one is
the competition, the other helps me as much as possible). I am
confused mostly by what appears to be endless options in configuring
this! Thanks in advance!
