Hello,

i am wondering bout the logs at my client. The MGetty wont start the
pppd after dial-in. Whats the reason?

10/17 19:07:23 yS0  mdm_send: 'ATI'

The Settings for the port:

  # NOTE3: "man pppd" is your friend!
#
/AutoPPP/ - a_ppp /usr/sbin/pppd debug passive auth +chap -pap modem
crtscts lo
ck name server user server

#

#
*       -       -       /bin/false

This config will give no debug-output and no line from the pppd, so it
cannot be started.

I spend hours to hours without any piece of coming forward, most people
say that a plain chap without user-login can never be built with the
mgetty. All descriptions uses a special login that starts the pppd
directly. Should i push all security overboard so all people can set
bruteforce to the loginport?
