waiting for ``CONNECT''

Hello,

I've installed the mgetty package on a linux redhat 5.1 for my US Robotics 
Sportster Voice.

At the moment, I test it for Faxes.

sendfax seem to work well but I'm in trouble for receiving from a fax machine. 

The log file finishes with the message:
waiting for ``CONNECT''

And mgetty stops with a:
timeout in chat script, waiting for `CONNECT'
##########failed timeout dev=ttyS0, pid=12534, caller=none, conn='',name=''

Can you help?
