Actually, FAX_USRobotics might even fix that (because all it does is "not
mess with the AT+FCC settings at all").  Note that the define has been
replaced by a "modem-quirks" setting in sendfax.config.

No.  They just use class 1, which doesn't give the modem any room to do
stupid things.
