vgetty-Problems

My modem does not recognize data or fax modems either.
I use the following in "voice.conf"

#
# Minimum recording length in seconds. Some modems can not detect
# data or fax modems, so we use the recording time, to decide,
# what it is. This feature is by default disabled.
#

rec_min_len 20

I also set one of the AT registers (modem initialization
on the calling end) so that the calling modem does not
time out too quickly. Sorry, I don't recall which
register it was. I only remember ATSn=X (where n equals
some register number and X is the setting in seconds).
