I personnaly use a filter that looks at the source of the message and dump
it to a folder. It seems to be more effective than looking at the subject
line, esp when multiple spams come from a variety of sites. Here is one
that has evolved over time:

:0:
* -5^0
* 10^0 ^Received:.*ispam
* 10^0 ^Received:.*opportunityhotline
* 10^0 ^Received:.*sprhwy
* 10^0 ^Received:.*directsend
* 10^0 ^Received:.*uniquepo
* 10^0 ^Received:.*tnlb
* 10^0 ^Received:.*beol
* 10^0 ^Received:.*worldnet
* 10^0 ^Received:.*wwa
* 10^0 ^Received:.*cmu
* 10^0 ^Received:.*hoek
* 10^0 ^Received:.*shiver
* 10^0 ^Received:.*crynwr
* 10^0 ^Received:.*ntu\.ac
* 10^0 ^Received:.*qlink2info
* 10^0 ^Received:.*batnet
* 10^0 ^Received:.*cscent

trash

basically, it uses the 'scoring' technique, if any of the sites is a
match, the message gets dumped to my trash folder. Alternately to
dev\null.

The sticker on the side of the box said "Supported Platforms: Windows 95,
Windows NT 4.0, or better", so clearly Linux was a supported platform.
