Everything WAS set up correctly..... even the device locking....

I went as far as removing and reinstalling the Cyclades 16 port box for a
new one.... the problems still remained.

After I removed it (mgetty) and went back to uugetty everything stopped
happening. The modems stopped locking up. I spent nearly 2months and
hundreds of hours on it.... talked to many different people about it...
including yourself.... Unless that there is a more recent versionwithin
the last few months (2months) I will not use mgetty.
I loved the logs and the power that it showed. BUt I could NOT deal with
the locking of the modems. I even went as far as changing out the
sysinit program... nothing I did fixed the problem until I did awaywith
mgetty.
I am sorry but I am not the only person that has had problems with it...
I really want to be able to utilize it... but I do not have the resources
to spend attempting to get it back on-line.....

maybe when I have a free moth, I might try it again.... seriously.. I
did and really do like the work on it... but I could NOT handle the
problems associated with it.

This is NOT meant to be a negative attack on mgetty or you Gert, I had
too many problems with it... I *had* to swap it out. Again I want to
stay on the mailing list because as newer developments with it happen,
maybe then I will reinstall it. It's a GREAT program, but the headaches
were too much.

sorry....
