suppress log in

is there a way to suppress the login prompt mgetty has and go straight to the
external login program?
I am using a selection of bbs programs and it comes with a getty front end,
but the thing doesn't distinguish from the many types of calls like mgetty
does, I can specify the bbs's "doorway" program as the login program but the
durn login prompt from mgetty kinda messes things up..
It would also be REAL good if there were a way to 'capture' the connection
info and pass it on to the doorway program..
