Hi !

I have recently purchased a ZyXEL U1496E and have connecected it on to a
486-DX2 66Mhz. I use the BITCOM for dos as the comm software. When I dial
up to the Net, whitin 17mts. the modem starts retraining and consequently
I get a carrier drop.

I have rarely managed to continue the connection beyond 17mts.

Is there some initialisation string to be given to BITCOM software or any
other setting to be done.

Can somebody please help.
