I installed mgetty 1.1.19-Nov24 + sendfax
under FreeBSD 3.2 out of the sheer curiosity of making another
approach of getting sendfax running with my Creatix 144VF.

Nothing to do with the modem yet I'm stuck at the following:
isdn-kukulies# faxrunq
processing F000002/JOB...
/usr/local/sbin/sendfax -v 02405xxxxx f1.g3
Trying fax device '/dev/cuaa1'... OK.
/usr/local/sbin/sendfax: cannot set serial port speed 38000 on "cuaa1"
command exited with status 2
isdn-kukulies#

/usr/local/etc/mgetty+sendfax/sendfax.config:

fax-devices cuaa1

port cuaa1
fax-id +49 2405 xxxxx
modem-type auto
debug 4
modem-handshake AT&H3
max-tries 3
max-tries-continue YES
speed 38000
dial-prefix ATD
poll-dir ./

mgetty.config:

port cuaa1

fax-id +49 2405 XXXXX
speed 38400

port-owner uucp
port-group uucp
port-mode 0660
toggle-dtr YES

init-chat "" ATS0=0Q0&D3&C1 OK
modem-check-time 3600

answer-chat "" ATA CONNECT \c \r
answer-chat-timeout 80

login-prompt @!login:

WHen looking myself at these files I have the strong feeling that
the porters of this package under FreeBSD still mix
mgetty and sendfax keywords happily on both files.

I read the FAQ to no avail WRT speed setting, etc.
