Receiving Faxes

I've got as far as dialling into my Linux server anf getting reliable
PPP connections and console logins, which isn't bad.

However I can't get the modem to answer fax calls. It doesn't negotiate
sucessfully.

It's a 3COM USR 56K Voice Faxmodem.

any pointers would be gratefully received.
