Hi,
I am in trouble with a microlink 56k pro SuSE6.2, mgetty and hylafax.
Please do not flame wrong news group (cause of hylafax)
faxgetty has a correct entry in /etc/inittab it ist watching the line
modem linked to /dev/ttyE0 a stallion easyIO 8 port pci card.
Minicom, dialout, fax-out with hylafax, ISP connection all that works
well.
Dialin and fax - in ther are is the trouble.
The microlink 57k pro (Firm: 1.67) modem does not answer the correct
way.
May be there comes a fax, it answers as fax or as data modem.
I detected that it always answers data when I diald out with minicom or
did
a ISP session, and when I sended out a fax the modem will answer as data
and
starts mgetty with the GettyArgs defined
in/var/spool/fax/etc/modem.config.
When mgetty is started by faxgetty when a fax call comes in then
the mgetty prozess will never go off until it ist explicit kill.
What I need is the info in which fclass mode the modem
must be left by mgetty (and how to do this) to determine
the next call correct as data or fax.
N.B. I called the else hotline, thy could not answer this question.
Greetng Julius
