Pulse to tone convertors

Hi Gert,

Back here in India, people still ask for support for pulse dialling (you
know
those old "rotary" phone instruments). Since none of the voice modems
support pulse, i understand there is standard equipment that sits
between
the phone line and the voice modem, called a pulse-to-tone convertor.
It transperantly passes tones, but when it finds pulses, it counts them
and passes the equivalent tone to the modem. Any idea where such
an instrument is available?
Is there any other way to handle pulses ?

Thanks a lot,
Prasad Khandkar
