Listing online users with 'w' command

If the system is setup correctly, this will "just work".  If "w", "who",
"init" and "mgetty" disagree about the location of the utmp file (like
"/etc/utmp" and "/var/run/utmp") things will break.

Without looking at your system, it's hard to say more - find out
(looking at "/usr/include/utmp.h") where mgetty looks for utmp, and find
out where "who" does ("strace who 2>&1 |grep utmp")...
