I'm not very happy with this - I asked you to post exact output, and
you write "something".

People, if you modify log entries, or do not copy-and-paste the output
of programs *verbatim*, how are we supposed to figure out what's going
on?

Anyway, I think I've guessed now what you want - the CONNECT information
is missing from who/last. Depending on the login program used, mgetty's
"login.config" file must be adapted, to call /bin/login with "-h @" (set
the "host name" field of UTMP), because login will otherwise overwrite
what mgetty puts there.

It's not a mgetty issue - it's login problem.

(I never understand why people always upgrade someting in their
system - or the whole system - break something in the process, that
is somehow related to dialup, and then ask on the mgetty list,
assuming it was a "mgetty change" or "mgetty bug"... - nothing personal,
just the "I feel I have to write this now" rant).
