Confused

Maybe I confused everybody yesterday with my problem.
What I am attempting to do is to replace a dial-up server. The current
server is an old Slackware box that originally use Kernel 2.0 and has
been upgraded to 2.0.30. Using mgetty 1.1.9 and pppd 2.2.0. On this box
when a user logs in the w, who, and last command give me login info in
detail. I will use the last command since it is the only one I can do a
current comparison with.
example user ttyC0 31200/ARQ/V34/L date time

The new system is Slackware 4.0 with Kernel 2.2.10 using mgetty 1.1.20
and pppd 2.3.0 and the last comand give me the following:

example user port date time

I have gone through every doc I can find and cant find where mgetty has
changed since 97 in this respect. I sent a log mgetty yesterday and I
was told it was fine. What have I not done or is this normal. Please if
anyone can help I want to finish this upgrade from you know where. It
has been hard upgrading bind, majordomo, sendmail just to name a few and
I am almost done.

							Thank You
