I'd throw the hole block out. It's not necessary, but confuses things a
lot if ghostscript's default paper size (A4 / legal / ...) doesn't match
those values exactly.

A postscript point, unless scaled, is 1/72 inch, that is 1/72 * 25.4 mm.
But that point is moot anyway, no need to fiddle around with
setpagedevice at all.

Class 1.0 is a derivative of class 1, which is said to be better, but
basically it's still class 1 (they have formalized one of the delay
commands, but the basic problems remain).
The USR Courier is a very good class 2.0 modem, for example, or the ZyXEL
1496.
