Problems on sending to a Toshiba fax machine

In postscript 72 points = 1 inch
	=> your page = 8.5 x 11 inches = letter size

As comparison an a4 page is around  592 x 842 points

If the toshiba fax only had a4 in it it could not print the letter size
page you sent it as it is not wide enough.  From memory the standard says a
fax machine has to be able to print a4 but not necessarily letter (although
pretty much all do)

If you use a modern version of ghostscript you can force the page to the
right size, older versions of gs had bugs when they did this.  Sorry i
cannot remember exact versions.
