Since I don't use applixware, I can only point you to the docs, or to
RedHat support.

What you should look for: find out whether there is a way to define an
arbitrary "print" command, like "faxspool 12345 %s" or so, to call
"faxspool" instead of "lpr" for printing.

Then have Applix generate Postscript output, and that's it.
