Hi,

(I CC: my replies to the mgetty list, as that's where mgetty discussions
should take place. Sending them to me personally is a bad idea nowadays,
as I have less and less time to discuss mgetty issues, especially things
that someone else on the mgetty list can easily answer as well).

Please don't build anything against old mgetty versions -- 1.1.16 is out
since nearly two weeks now, and has a completely rewritten RING handler,
which (among other nice goodies) has exactly this feature - for the ZyXEL
2864I, the "FM:" line is counted as RING.

(For other modems, this not very easily done, as there could be multi-line
formats, and you don't always get the same number of lines).
