I do have a ZyXEL 1496 connected to the serial port term/b.
If I start mgetty by using
	/usr/local/sbin/mgetty -s 19200 -x 9 term/b
The log file says:
07/13 18:13:48 m/b do_makelock: lock='/var/spool/locks/LK.032.029.001'
07/13 18:13:48 m/b lock made
07/13 18:13:48 m/b tio_get_rs232_lines: status: RTS CTS DTR
07/13 18:13:48 m/b WARNING: DSR is off - modem turned off or bad cable?
07/13 18:13:48 m/b tss: set speed to 19200 (016)
07/13 18:13:48 m/b tio_set_flow_control( )
07/13 18:13:48 m/b waiting for line to clear (VTIME), read:
07/13 18:13:49 m/b send: \dATQ0V1H0[0d]

What does WARNING: DSR is off - modem turned off or bad cable mean,
and how can I correct this?

What's the correct entry in the mgetty.config file for the term/b
device, term/b or b or /dev/term/b?

Regards
Pat
