TAPI is "Telephony (or should we say "phony" ;-) ) API" - Microsoft's API
for telephony applications like fax/voice, etc.What that setting in WinFAX
probably means, is when you set to TAPI, WinFAX
will use the Microsoft API for fax I/O, while when you select COM1/2, WinFAX
will
directly use the specified port and bypass TAPI.
