You should read the isdn4linux-FAQ and/or the Discussion about "Why is faxing  
with i4l impossible/not yet implemented/...?" in de.alt.comm.isdn4linux  
(about every 2 weeks) in dejanews.

The abstract is this: If you want to fax over isdn, buy a cheap modem.
