Hi,
The master ppp site is:
ftp://cs.anu.edu.au/pub/software/ppp/
The latest version is: 2.3.5
Are you running RedHat 5.0, they did a bad port of pppd 2.3 to include PAM
which broke the utmp stuff.
This seems to have been fixed in Redhat 5.1, otherwise just compile pppd
from source.
