Either that's a VERY VERY VERY old version of mgetty, or you're not using
mgetty at all.
All mgetty versions since about three years ago, or even longer, create
file names starting with "fn*" for normal resolution faxes, or "ff*" for
fine resolution.

I said "duplicate", not "stretch" each row. The width is not changed.

That's nonsense. Look at the source. "-s" won't change the width of a
line, only stretch the fax to the double height.

Because. Period. If you follow the good old habit "read a few articles
*before* posting", you would have noticed that the language is English.
