USR fax - new problem

You don't read manuals, or mailing lists, that's the problem.

If you do this...

... that will happen.  So, to answer this about the 971235534th time 
this year: if you use an USR modem, set "ignore-carrier yes" in 
"sendfax.config".

Please browse through the mgetty list before asking such *highly frequent*
questions.

(And, if you use an USR *Sportster* and it doesn't work with
"ignore-carrier yes", don't even ask for help! In that case, you get
what you pay for. Some Sportsters work - consider yourself lucky.  Some
don't - no way to make them work)
